By opting for gelcoat over the polyurethane paint we use on our racing shells, we are providing a tougher finish: perfect for low maintenance, even with the knocks these boats are likely to get.
All hulls are off-white, with 4 upper-colour options:
Colours shown are approximate. If colour matters, check using the RAL number.

Swift produces oars for our Cadet and Cadet Mini boats with shorter shafts in 3 lengths: Short, Medium, Long. Manufactured with purpose-built tooling, so they're correctly sized, not "cut down" versions of normal scull oars. Handle external diameter is CNC-cut to fit perfectly inside the shaft.
Three grip sizes on two handle sizes:
| Handle | Color Code | Grip Diameter |
|---|---|---|
| Small | Red | 32 mm |
| Medium | Orange | 35 mm |
| Medium | Purple | 37 mm |
Loosening 2 screws gives up to 12 cm of quick length adjustment. All handles have the overall length engraved, no need to measure each time.
HP grade is not offered, at this reduced length, oars become too light and stiff.
| Club Performance (CP) | Recreational (Rec) | |
|---|---|---|
| Total weight: Long (per piece) | 1.42 ± 0.2 kg | 1.47 ± 0.2 kg |
| Total weight: Medium (per piece) | 1.36 ± 0.2 kg | 1.41 ± 0.2 kg |
| Total weight: Short (per piece) | 1.34 ± 0.2 kg | 1.39 ± 0.2 kg |

For the Kiddy 1x we recommend the medium or short Cadet oars.
Available in 2 boat grades: Club A and Club B.
This is the lightest grade offered for Trainer 1x.

View System →
04 · Trolley
Heavy-duty, modular trolleys designed to accommodate any Coastal Rowing boat. Modular for ease of transport and shipping.
View System →Swift boat racks are modular. You can choose the parts that you need to make the boat rack that you want.
Each rack is made up of interchangeable parts: uprights, arms, bases and braces. Order exactly what you need for your layout.
For double-sided racks: 200 mm diameter wheels in two types, Free (move in any direction, with brake) or Fixed (single direction). Sold as an accessory.
If you skip the wheels, the base needs to sit slightly off the ground to clear bolt heads. Our purpose-made feet handle this cleanly (or use blocks of wood).
These are just some of the possible arrangements. More or less arms can be used, and the height/position is freely adjustable. 4 upright heights available: 2 m · 2.5 m · 3 m · 3.5 m. 3 cross-stay lengths: 2.8 m · 4.2 m · 5.6 m.
Double-side racks share the same upright heights and cross-stay lengths, plus a connector beam (Mbr-con) joining the two sides at the top and a wider double base (Mbr-base-d), total side footprint 2132 mm (vs 1385 mm single-side). Boats sit on arms on both sides, twice the storage in a footprint that's only ~50% wider.
Each rack is made up of the following parts. Mix and match to spec exactly the rack you need, and use the planning chart below to count how many of each you'll need.
2 types: one each for single-sided and double-sided racks.
Mbr-base-s, singleMbr-base-d, doubleOne design, 4 height choices. All uprights have a series of holes (vertically, every 50 mm) so arms can be bolted at the height that suits you best.
Mbr-up 200, 2 mMbr-up 250, 2.5 mMbr-up 300, 3 mMbr-up 350, 3.5 mOne design, 3 length (span) choices.
Mbr-xstay 2800, 2.8 mMbr-xstay 4200, 4.2 mMbr-xstay 5600, 5.6 mUsed to join pairs of uprights at the top of double-sided racks. 2 types: choose by available floor space.
Five arm types, basic for standard hulls, heavy-duty with reinforcing for larger boats or lots of cycles. The 50 × 50 mm square pipe is consistent across all.
700 mm long square pipe (50 × 50 mm) welded to a steel back plate. Extruded rubber top protects your boats.
800 mm long, same construction as Basic 700 but with extra reach. Useful for 8s and other wide boats. Extruded rubber top included.
800 mm long with a longer steel back plate and a steel pipe gusset from the bottom of the base plate to the middle of the arm, adds reinforcing.
1000 mm long with the same long back plate and gusset reinforcing.
Quick reference for arm count, span, cross stays and uprights, by boat size and rack type. The "3-arm" column applies when you choose 3 arms per boat (more support, more parts).
| Boat Size / Rack Type | Arms per Boat | Span | Cross Stays | Uprights |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small Boats 1s & 2s | 2 arms | 2.8 m | - | - |
| 4s 2-arm | 2 arms | 4.2 or 5.6 m | - | - |
| 4s 3-arm | 3 arms | Double 2.8 m | - | - |
| 8s | 3 arms | 5.6 m doubled to 11.2 m | - | - |
| Cross stays & uprights: by rack type | ||||
| Single-Sided · 2-arm | - | - | 3 cross stays | 2 uprights |
| Single-Sided · 3-arm | - | - | 6 cross stays | 3 uprights |
| Double-Sided · 2-arm | - | - | 4 cross stays | 4 uprights |
| Double-Sided · 3-arm | - | - | 8 cross stays | 6 uprights |
Double-sided racks can be fitted with wheels, 200 mm in diameter, available in 2 types. Combine free + fixed wheels to control how the rack moves on the floor.
Mbr-wheel1Moves in any direction and has a brake. 200 mm diameter, heavy-duty.
Mbr-wheel2Moves in one direction only. 200 mm diameter, heavy-duty, gives the rack a predictable rolling line.
Swift vertical oar racks are for storing both sweep and scull oars vertically, by hanging them on arms from each oar's collar / button. You can store both scull and sweep oars on the same rack.
Each arm is 60 mm wide: enough distance between each row of oars, provided the oars are stored with the spoons "edge on" (only the edge of the oar visible when standing in front of the rack). Storing oars this way allows many oars to be stored in a small space.
We make 2 lengths of cross stays. Make sure you have enough room for the rack, total width matches the cross-stay length.
| Cross Stay | Total Rack Width | Single-side Depth | Double-side Depth |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.4 m cross stays | 1.4 m | ~75 cm | ~145 cm |
| 2 m cross stays | 2 m | ~75 cm | ~145 cm |
Each arm is long enough to hold 8 scull or 8 sweep oars. The capacity below depends on cross-stay length, oar mix, and (for the 2 m rack) the recommended spacing per oar type.
| Sweep only | 72 sweep oars |
|---|---|
| Scull only | 72 scull oars |
| Mixed | Any combination up to 72 oars |
| Sweep only | 14 arms · 13 spaces · 104 sweep oars |
|---|---|
| Scull only | 15 arms · 14 spaces · 112 scull oars |
| Mixed | 15 arms · 56 scull + 56 sweep |
Swift horizontal oar racks are for storing both sweep and scull oars horizontally, by laying them on 2 arms. With these racks, you can store both scull and sweep oars on the same rack.
These racks are also good for storing boats without riggers in a very compact way, especially on the double-sided version.
We make 2 lengths of cross stays. The total length of the rack matches the cross-stay choice (with a small overhang).
| Cross Stay | Total Rack Length | Single-side Depth | Double-side Depth |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.4 m cross stays | 1.5 m | 1 m | 1.8 m |
| 2 m cross stays | 2.1 m | 1 m | 1.8 m |
Each arm holds 8 scull or 8 sweep oars. Total capacity depends on vertical spacing between arms and how tightly you want to pack them.
For CII big-blade / smoothie scull and sweep oars, vertical spacing can go as low as 200 mm (also the design minimum).
| Single-sided | 80 scull or sweep oars |
|---|---|
| Double-sided | 160 oars |
| Single-sided | 96 scull or sweep oars |
|---|---|
| Double-sided | 192 oars |
The double-sided version is great for storing boats without riggers in a compact way. With double-sided arms you have 850 mm of horizontal space: comfortably stores even the widest boats, including gig 4s.
| Upright Height | Boat Type | Suggested Vertical Space | Max Arms | Single-sided Capacity | Double-sided Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 m | 1s & 2s | 350 mm | 5 pairs | 10 boats | 20 boats |
| 2 m | 4s & 8s | 400–500 mm | 4 pairs | 8 boats | 16 boats |
| 2.5 m | 1s & 2s | 350 mm | 6 pairs | 12 boats | 24 boats |
| 2.5 m | 4s & 8s | 400–500 mm | 5 pairs | 10 boats | 20 boats |
It's possible to mix different boat types on the same rack. For storing boats (rather than oars) you'll need longer cross stays: use 3 of the cross stays sold as parts for the Movable Boat Rack (MBR). Because the HOR & MBR designs differ, prepare 1 spacer (50 × 50 × 200 mm with 2 × 9 mm bolt holes), square steel pipe or solid wood works.
Swift Racing's range of trolleys are all designed to accommodate any Coastal Rowing boat, are heavy-duty, and are modular for ease of transport and shipping.
All regatta racks are double-sided and designed to make use of the 4 × 4 cm steel pipe used for loading containers, to avoid waste.
They can be used as permanent racking in boathouses, but are low cost and ideal for use as temporary racking at regattas. Detaching the cross stays allows them to be stored in a small space or transported on boat trailers.
Container loading rules drive the part choice. Match upright + arm length to your container type and the boats you're racking:
| Part | Length | Container Compatibility | Boat Compatibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uprights | 230 cm | Standard (2.36 m) or high tube (2.66 m) | - |
| Uprights | 260 cm | High cube containers only | - |
| Arms | 237 cm (short) | The only length usable to load containers | RS 1x & 2x only |
| Arms | 270 cm (long) | - | Other Racing Shells (4x, 8x, etc.) |
