C102H- Elite Plus: Stern 45° Angle View (19 Jul 2023)

Overview

The C102- is the 'all-rounder', probably the most sold Coastal 1x in the World. With 4 out of 6 medals at the 2024 WRCC, the C102- excels in waves and more difficult conditions, and gives confidence to rowers with less stability skills.

It gives an advantage when waves gain height, and its extra stability makes it comfortable to apply power, a very enjoyable boat for beginners and champions alike. It was the boat of choice in 2019 WRCC for Hong Kong's infamous 'washing machine' waters and was rowed to Gold every single year since 2019.

The standard fin position is optimized for tracking and stability, with the possibility to have a second fin box for beach sprints. Available with stern or reverse wing rigger.

Mould Notes

C102-: is more stable, used by about 90% of our crews at World Champs etc, definitely a good choice for beginners too.
C103-: is less stable, but could be faster with high performance rowers.
C102H-: is the heavyweight version based on C102-, good for 85–115 kg, but will also be the best choice for anyone heavier than 115 kg.

From July 2024 we have kept the same standard work height as before, but without using spacers. Using the spacers provided will increase work height by 10 mm.

Note that the wing-rigger quick-release system adds 10 mm extra work height.

Boat Grades & Construction

Each grade is finished to the same high standard, with a different price point, and may be more suitable for certain situations and environments.

All Swift racing shells share these core features:

"Sandwich" construction (ie. A core material such as honeycomb, coremat, or PVC foam is sandwiched between 2 "skins").
Epoxy resin, cured at high temperature, under vacuum.
Enclosed seat decks for maximum buoyancy (exceed FISA's requirement).

With various grades, you can choose the materials and price which best suits your needs, whether that is rowing in the Olympics or putting out a fleet of robust singles for your Novice Masters group.

:: Carbon Pro - (since 2023)

Overview	For when every second counts.
Hull & Saxboards	Honeycomb core with inner and outer skin of prepreg carbon, and prepreg carbon reinforcing.
Canvas Decks & Seat Deck	Honeycomb core with inner and outer skin of prepreg carbon.

:: Elite Carbon

Overview	For use in top level competition.

Seat Deck	Closed cell PVC foam core with inner and outer skin of prepreg carbon.

:: Club A

Overview	Mainly for training purposes, although with only a small weight disadvantage over Elite Plus boats, can still be highly competitive.
Hull	Coremat core with inner skin of carbon and outer skin of kevlar, and carbon reinforcing.
Saxboards	Honeycomb core for 2s, 4s and 8s, closed cell PVC foam for 1s, with carbon and kevlar skins, and carbon reinforcing.

Seat Deck	Closed cell PVC foam core with carbon and kevlar skins.

:: Club B

Overview	Specifically built for training purposes. Quite heavy, but great "work horses". This construction is relatively easy to repair.

Saxboards	Honeycomb core for 2s, 4s and 8s, closed cell foam for 1s, with fibreglass skins, and carbon reinforcing.
Canvas Decks	Honeycomb core with Prepreg FG skins.

Wing Rigger System
