01 · Common to all Gigs

Built for touring,
built to last.

Every Swift Touring Gig (Elite Plus, Club A and Club B) ships with the same engineered foundation: convertible cox-to-sculling position, generous hatches, a built-in keel for tracking, and enclosed seat decks for safety.

  • Cox to sculler: Cox position can be convertible to a sculling position (optional, not standard).
  • Familiar shape: Same shape as those already popular in Europe.
  • Big hatches: On each seat deck for storing clothing etc.
  • 40 cm hatches: On both bow canvas and stern canvas for storing bigger items.
  • Built-in keel: Exceptional strength & stiffness, plus great tracking.
  • Stainless steel keel strip: Protects the keel.
  • Carrying handles: For easy carrying.
  • Large rudder: Good manoeuvrability.
  • Enclosed seat deck: Exceptional buoyancy and safety.
  • Steering stretcher: Supplied when ordered with extra sculling position.
02 · Stretchers

Carbon & PVC
foam sandwich.

Gigs are supplied with lightweight carbon and PVC-foam sandwich stretchers. Choose between four shoe options, availability varies by grade.

Bont Rowing shoes, Active Tools adjustable shoes, Swift Racing shoes, and Flexfoot heel restraints
Bont Rowing shoes: Sizes 36-53. They run smaller than normal, order 1 or 2 sizes larger. Active Tools adjustable shoes: 2 sizes available: 40-45 and 43-48. Swift Racing shoes: Sizes 37-54 available. Flexfoot: Heel restraints with solid rounded heels for safety. Approved by USRowing & British Rowing.

04 · Seat Types

Plastic or carbon:
by grade.

Club B boats are supplied with a moulded plastic seat top (Sea33B). Elite Plus and Club A boats are supplied with lightweight carbon seat tops: single-action or double-action.

Three Touring Gig seat options: Sea33B plastic, Single action carbon, Double action carbon
Sea33B: Club B boats are supplied with moulded plastic seat top. A. Single Action Type: Elite Plus / Club A carbon seat top with bearings, height adjustable. B. Double Action Type: Elite Plus / Club A carbon seat top, adds extra 220 g per seat.
05 · Wave Break

Optional
extra protection.

There is an option with Gigs to have an additional wave break that can be easily screwed onto the boat's normal wave break. This gives some extra protection from large waves.

06 · CGig4+, New Features

Engineered for
the new Gig403+.

Two purpose-built additions on the new Gig403+ mould, a step-in place for confident boarding, and 4 pairs of lifting handles in the cockpit to make carrying easier.
